Youth Worker (National Saturday Club), Andover College

Chapel Arts Studios and Andover College are seeking a youth worker for the  National Saturday Club to start on Saturday 11th January 2025. The Club has already completed its first term and will return for a further 16 sessions on Saturdays during term time until July 2025, culminating in a graduation ceremony and exhibition at Somerset House in London.

We are therefore looking for an experienced youth worker who can assist our lead artist tutor, art technician and volunteer during the Saturday sessions. With a focus on supporting the young people, engaging with them and keeping them safe. Experience in youth work, understanding of neurodivergence and challenging behaviour, as well as evidence of safeguarding qualifications are essential.

Each session starts at 10am and continues until 1pm. You would therefore be required to arrive at 9.45am for the young people's arrival and stay until 1.15pm to make sure all young people have left the site, making it a total of 3.5 hours on Saturday mornings. This is a temporary contract (16 sessions of 3.5 hours, paid at a rate of £20 per hour depending on experience). The National Saturday Club group size is limited to 15 young people.

Start date: Saturday 11th January 2025
