Our Programmes

Engaging Our Communities
We closely engage with our communities by working with a range of partners and by focusing on our most deprived neighbourhoods and those experiencing inequalities.

Working with young people at Smannell Skatepark
Over 3 weeks CAS commissioned artist, Kezia Hoffman, to work with young people at Smannell Skatepark in Andover, creating wonderful graffiti art. We celebrated their hard work through an exhibition at Unity Art Studios, Chantry Centre, Andover
Making art more accessible to neurodivergent people
We hosted a talk with Jon Adams, neurodivergent artist and activist in November 2021. This was the start of our work with neurodivergent people in Andover to co-create a CAS policy and action plan.
Social prescribing - art journaling for people with mental health challenges
In 2021, CAS ran two art journaling courses, one with teenage girls, the other with adults who experience mental health challenges. The work made a real difference to participants and resulted in some great art.
Art Education
CAS works with local schools to widen their art curriculum. We also offer Education Residencies (EPR) to art graduates. Our CAS AIR projects engage our communities and local schools.
Young People
We work with young people in the local area by offering opportunities to develop their creative skills and find a focus for their lives.
Social Prescribing
We offer a range of courses to improve health and wellbeing by working with our NHS and local authority colleagues.
